Ellen: Hey everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the K-Source Replacement Towing Mirror. This is going to help to extend your field of view whenever you're telling with your vehicle, to make sure that you can see what's going on behind you. A lot of times, whenever you're carrying a trailer or a camper or anything else behind you, it's hard to see what's going on at the back. So by extending or having the option to extend these mirrors out, it should help to eliminate any blind spots. The way that works is it's just going to extend out from the vehicle about three and a half inches that you gain there.

And it'll allow you to still use all the functions of your normal mirror. So it allows you to adjust it with the factory controls. You still have the built-in tail light, or excuse me, turn signal, and also the heat function.So you're not losing any functionality with changing this out. It's a plug and play application, you're just going to reuse the same wiring plugs that's in your factory housing. So you're just going to plug this guy in there and it should be a pretty much direct replacement, no cutting or splicing required.

And it does have the same footprint as that original mirror, so we've got our four studs there. They come with new locknuts to get those attached. And there's also a foam piece to go over that and finish up the look and also give it a little bit of sound dampening and seal up around that area. So pretty easy install as far as that goes, just take the old mirror off, put this new guy on there and you should be good to go. It has the Chrome finish to the mirror face, so it's going to look really nice.Again, has that built in turn signal, so we should be able to see what's going on.

It's pretty easy to move that mirror in and out and then you do have the manually adjusting spot mirror at the bottom. So you just push on that with your hands to get that dialed in, so again, it eliminates any blind spots. This is, again, for the passenger side, we also have the driver's side available, you probably want to get both. It does come as a kit, so if you want to get these from the jump to be able to see what's going on, I would suggest using the kit. But if you're trying to replace one that maybe got damaged somewhere along the way, this is going to be again for that passenger side.

It does also fold in against the vehicle.This is going to be the hinge point here. So if you're in a narrow area where you need a little bit more clearance, you can fold that mirror in against your vehicle and it shouldn't have any issues. It is a custom fit and it works for the 2003 through 2005 Ford Excursion, as well as the 2001 through 2007 Ford F250 and 350, as well as the 450 and 550 and 350 cab and chassis.
